A Flood Watch is in effect through Thursday afternoon.
A line of storms dropped heavy rain over already saturated soils leading to possible flooding. Rainfall rates were around 1-1.5 inches per hour causing flash flooding in some areas.
Between 2 and 5 inches of rain was possible, especially for areas south of Interstate 20. Totals will be around 1 and 2 inches in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Possible Impacts: Flooding may occur in low-lying, urban, and poor drainage areas. Rapid rises will be possible on creeks, streams, and rivers. Actions to Take: Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
Rain chances will be highest through Thursday morning. Spotty showers and storms are possible into the afternoon.
The severe weather threat diminished Thursday morning.
