A Flood Watch has been posted for much of North Texas until Friday morning. Upwards of 1.5 to 3 inches of rain are expected, with isolated higher amounts possible.
The greatest risk of flash flooding is in an area south of Dallas and Fort Worth. This area has already experienced heavy rainfall over the past couple of weeks.
A few storms on Thursday could become severe with damaging wind gusts and large hail. The higher severe weather risk today will primarily be in Central Texas.

While a spotty shower or thunderstorm will still be possible on Friday, most locations will begin to dry out. The upcoming weekend looks dry and very warm. Above-normal temperatures are expected next week leading up to the Memorial Day weekend.
