Spring-like weather ties record high Monday

Unseasonably warm weather sticks around through the weekend

Spring-like weather that began over the weekend in North Texas will continue all week.

On Monday, NBC 5's team of Weather Experts forecast a high of 81 degrees, and at 4 p.m., it reached 84 degrees. The National Weather Service said that tied a record set in 1911.

The normal high for this time of year is 59 degrees. Highs in the low 80s are more typical of early May than early February.

This unseasonably warmer weather sticks around all week. Highs through Saturday will be in the 70s and 80s.

A cold front early next week will make it feel more like February. Highs early next week will be in the low 50s. There will also be a few opportunities for rain next week. See the latest forecast here.
