Another round of rain and storms arrived along a dryline Thursday across North Texas, bringing flash flooding and there is a potential for some of the storms to turn severe.
The prime time for strong storms in DFW is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

DFW is under a Marginal (Level 1) risk for severe storms. That threat increases to Slight (Level 2) for areas east and southeast of Dallas.
The primary threats are lightning, heavy rain, wind gusts to 60 mph, and hail up to the size of quarters. Tornadoes can’t be completely ruled out in east Texas, but the threat is low.
The severe weather threat should end by late afternoon for most of the area as a cold front swings into the area. But some wrap-around showers are possible into the early evening.
