NBC 5 Forecast: A windy start to the week, then big changes

A shift to cooler and wetter weather ahead for North Texas

NBC Universal, Inc.

The new week will start warm and windy. Highs will be well above normal in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday. Winds will also be increasing, gusting above 35 mph Monday and Tuesday.

By mid week a significant weather change will take place as a cold front moves across North Texas. Showers and storms will be possible Wednesday and some storms may contain gusty winds and hail.

Halloween will be cooler with a chance of showers, mainly in the morning. The unsettled weather will continue into next weekend and possible the start of next week. The good news is that our dry streak is likely to end this week.
