Rain is in the forecast for the weekend. It won't be a washout, but you may want to have a backup plan if you have outdoor plans. While it could rain at any point, the better chance favors Saturday and Sunday evening. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and mild.
The best chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms will come late Sunday night and Monday as a cold front moves across North Texas. Some storms may produce gusty winds and hail.
With this active pattern continuing through next week, 1 to 4 inches of rainfall could be possible across the area.
The rain will clear out by Election Day Tuesday. Another weak front will bring low rain chances, Wednesday night into Thursday as well.
