LIVE RADAR: Scattered showers possible, better chance of rain this weekend

An unsettled weather pattern ahead for North Texas

Welcome to November! Much of the Metroplex will stay dry today with mostly cloudy skies. However, a few scattered showers that developed this morning will persist into the afternoon, primarily for locations north and west of DFW.

A better chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives this weekend. It won't be a washout, but you may want to have a backup plan if you have outdoor plans. While it could rain at any point, the better chance favors Saturday and Sunday evening. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and mild.

With this active pattern continuing through next week, 1 to 4 inches of rainfall could be possible across the area.

As a cold front moves through Monday it will bring rain and possible strong storms clearing out by Election Day Tuesday. Another weak front will bring low rain chances, Wednesday night into Thursday as well.
