Widespread frost is expected Friday morning, and some areas will experience their first freeze of the season. A Freeze Warning has been posted for areas north, northeast and west of Dallas-Fort Worth thru Friday morning. Lows will be in the upper-20s to lower-30s. If you have potted plants or sensitive vegetation, you will want to cover them or bring them inside. Also, bring in your pets. Afternoon highs will climb into the mid-50s due to plentiful sunshine.

Expect even warmer temperatures on Saturday as highs top into the lower to mid-60s. A weak cold front will drop highs back into the upper-50s for Sunday. A warming trend takes hold to begin next week. A disturbance, via the Gulf of Mexico, will increase clouds for Tuesday into Thursday.
