NBC 5 Forecast: Warm and dry pattern continues

A quiet weather pattern continues for North Texas

NBCUniversal, Inc.

Our dry weather pattern will continue this week with a warming trend. High temperatures will be above normal for the week, right on through the weekend. Highs Tuesday will be in the upper 80s, well above the normal high of 77. Wednesday will be hotter with near-record heat of 90. The record is 91.

The weekend will be a bit cooler with highs in the lower 80s, but still above normal. Next week will be warm with highs in the low 80s. There is a low chance of showers by mid next week.

As our drought continues, an elevated fire danger remains across the area. Just a small spark could get a grassfire going quickly. The good news is that humidity levels will increase a tad by Tuesday, helping to improve fire conditions a bit.
