LIVE RADAR: Rain ending, sunshine and pleasant fall weather coming our way

Sunny by Wednesday afternoon

A cold front moved into North Texas and brought thunderstorms to North Texas overnight and early Wednesday morning. One large storm in Collin and Dallas counties produced large hail and high winds.

The rain is moving our early this morning. However, the clouds may hang around for a few hours before giving way to sunshine. It will be a nice fall afternoon with a refreshing north breeze and lower humidity.

We're monitoring Tropical Storm Helene as it approaches the Gulf of Mexico. Currently, there are no direct impacts expected for North Texas, but a few showers may occur to the east from the remnants of the storm on Friday.

The weather for the opening of the State Fair of Texas on Friday looks seasonably cooler with some cloud cover. Highs will be in the 80s.
