NBC 5 Forecast: Chilly and Blustery Thanksgiving; Freeze Watch Issued

Much colder air has arrived

NBC Universal, Inc.

In wake of a strong cold front, Thanksgiving will be blustery and colder with highs in the low 50s along with a north wind gusting over 20 mph.

Widespread frost is expected Friday morning, and some areas will experience their first freeze of the season. A freeze watch has been posted for areas north of Dallas-Fort Worth thru Friday morning. Lows will be in the low to mid-30s. If you have potted plants or sensitive vegetation, you will want to cover them or bring them inside. Bring pets in for the night, too.

Friday through the weekend will remain rather cool and dry with highs in the 50s to low 60s.
