NBC 5 Forecast: Pleasant fall weekend, but dry spell continues

Comfortable weather through the weekend before work-week heat up

NBC Universal, Inc.

High temperatures will be near 80 this weekend with continued sunny and dry weather. A moderate east-southeasterly wind will be the main reason for pushing warmer weather into North Texas this weekend.

As the dry spell continues, the grass-fire threat will be high as well. Just a small spark could get a grass-fire going quickly. The good news is that humidity levels will continue to increase helping to improve fire conditions a bit.

Even warmer weather looks to rebuild next week when the upper 80s and low 90s will likely return. Near record heat is possible by Wednesday before temperatures start to fall by the end of the week.
