NBC 5 Forecast: Continued warm for now, but changes are on the horizon

Warm and dry weather will continue into the beginning of next week. Moderate to severe drought conditions remain in place across North Texas. Please practice your wildfire safety tips. Mostly sunny with highs into the mid-80s for Sunday afternoon.

Winds will increase from the south with gusts up to 35 to 40 mph for Monday and Tuesday. Also, our lows will start to rise into the upper-60s to lower-70s.

A pattern change is expected by mid-week, bringing cooler and much needed rainfall to North Texas. This unsettled weather pattern will remain in place through Election Day Tuesday.
