Storms started to march into North Texas after midnight. Storms have remained sub-severe, bringing much-needed rain, vivid lightning and strong wind gusts.
The cold front and the storms will move east of DFW by daybreak Thursday, leaving us with increasing sunshine and a nice drop in temperatures. Expect a high temperature of 75 degrees on Halloween, with trick-or-treat temperatures falling into the 60s under clear skies.
Dry weather will extend into Friday before another chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives Saturday. In fact, Saturday's rain could be quite heavy later in the day. The unsettled pattern will continue into early next week.
