Another round of rain and thunderstorms will push into North Texas today. Scattered showers are expected to develop by daybreak, but the prime time for stronger thunderstorms in DFW will occur between 10 am and noon.
Some storms may become severe after the storms push into east Texas during the afternoon hours. DFW may see a few wrap-around showers thru the afternoon, but the severe weather threat will be well to the east by that time.
Our above-normal temperature trend will continue into the weekend. But a cold front will drop temperatures by New Year's Eve and the cooler weather will persist as we begin 2025.
