After a cool start, this afternoon will feature a big warm-up with highs in the 70s.
A strong cold front arrives Wednesday evening into Thanksgiving Day with a fresh batch of cold air. Thursday will be breezy and much colder with highs in the 50s. Winds will gust over 20 mph on Thursday.
Widespread frost is expected Friday morning, and many areas will experience their first freeze of the season. Lows will be in the low to mid-30s. If you have potted plants or sensitive vegetation, you will want to cover them or bring them inside. Bring pets in for the night, too.
Friday through the weekend will remain rather cool and dry with highs in the 50s to low 60s.
