Sunny and pleasant weather starts the weekend with a breezy south wind, highs will climb into the 70s this afternoon.
Changes arrive on Sunday as a potent storm system pushes into North Texas. Sunday will start off dry with mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers develop by Sunday afternoon with a few rumbles of thunder possible. The main event arrives Sunday night into Monday morning with widespread rain and thunderstorms expected. A couple storms could be severe Sunday night with gusty winds and hail. These showers and storms will exit by midday Monday, with decreasing clouds through the afternoon.
Cooler air filters into the region by midweek with highs in the Wednesday and Thursday look quite cool with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Low temperatures by the end of next week will be in the 30s and 40s.
