Welcome to November! Much of North Texas will stay dry today with mostly cloudy skies. However, a few scattered showers that developed this morning will persist into the afternoon, primarily for locations northwest of DFW.
A better chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives this weekend. It won't be a washout but you may want to have a plan B if you have outdoor plans. While it could rain at any point, the better chance favors Saturday evening. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and mild.
Our storm chances will continue into Sunday and Monday. 1 to 4 inches of rainfall could be possible across the area.

Finally, a cold front will end our rain chances by Election Day Tuesday. Another weak front will bring low rain chances, Wednesday night into Thursday.
