NBC 5 Forecast: Cold front arrives into North Texas leading to a cool end to 2024

A cold front pushes in Monday evening and drops temperatures for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day festivities. NBC 5 Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell says high temperatures will fall back into the 50s to begin 2025.

Otherwise, plenty of sunshine can be expected. Our next chance of rain arrives on Sunday as a stronger cold front arrives. This frontal passage will drop temperatures to below normal levels.
