A strong cold front brings a drastic temperature drop and strong winds on Sunday. NBC 5 Meteorologist Adrienne Vonn says to grab the heavy coat before heading out! There’s a wind advisory and a cold weather advisory ahead.
A big weather change is on the horizon. A strong cold front pushes in this morning, bringing tumbling temperatures and strong northwest winds through the day. A wind advisory has been issued from 9 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, as winds could gust over 40mph. Temperatures will start in the 60s early Sunday and drop into the 40s by afternoon. There's a brief chance of a shower this morning with higher chances in East Texas.
Bitter cold is expected Monday morning, with wind chill values dipping into the single digits and teens. A cold weather advisory will go in effect from midnight to 10 AM on Monday.

Once the cold air arrives, it will stick around for several days. Highs are only expected to be in the 30s and 40s next week! Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper-20s. This will be the coldest air of the season so far!
