NBC 5 Forecast: Cold Start with Sunshine Returning

Temperatures will moderate this weekend

After the first freeze of the season for some across North Texas, more rollercoaster temperatures are expected. NBC 5 Meteorologist Kevan Smith has the latest.

A cold morning is already underway across North Texas. A Freeze Warning remains in effect thru 9 AM for locations North of DFW. Despite full sunshine, afternoon highs will only climb into the mid-50s.

Temperatures will moderate this weekend with highs returning to the low 60s with sunshine expected both Saturday and Sunday.
