The heavy, steady rain that fell over North Texas Tuesday came to an end late Tuesday.
The rowdy, widespread non-severe thunderstorms pushed into North Texas before noon and persisted throughout the afternoon.
The storms pushed east of Dallas-Fort Worth by 6 p.m., but some spotty showers may remain overnight into Wednesday morning.
The rain should be gone by Wednesday afternoon and it should stay dry through Friday.

With the possibility of showers into the first half of Wednesday, officials are watching area rivers for flooding.
At 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a Flood Warning for the Trinity River in Dallas until 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Earlier Tuesday, the NWS also issued a Flood Warning for White Rock Creek at Greenville Avenue until 6:39 a.m. Wednesday and extended a Flood Warning for the Elm Fork Trinity River in Carrollton until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The eastern half of North Texas has been placed under a Flash Flood Watch through 7 a.m. Wednesday.
One to four inches of rain will be possible in these areas. Localized flooding will be possible in low-lying or poor drainage areas. There may also be rapid water rises in creeks, streams and rivers.
If you are out driving and encounter high water on the roads, do not drive through it. Remember the phrase, "Turn Around, Don't Drown."
This rainy stretch of weather tapers off Wednesday afternoon with just some lingering showers. The end of the week will be dry with temperatures expected to warm back into the low 80s.
