LIVE RADAR: Severe risk has ended but showers continue overnight in North Texas

Severe weather threat stays east through tonight

The severe weather threat has ended across North Texas, but scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight. Occasional downpours are likely, but no severe weather is expected.

Although the severe weather threat has diminished for areas back west of the DFW, there is still a risk for regions in East Texas through tonight. The threats include brief heavy rain, some small hail, as well as a tornado risk.

There may be a few showers that pop up overnight into the morning, but none will be severe. The timing on these showers should have them moved out by late morning, making Election Day clear and cool. Highs will be in the 60s.

Another chance of storms returns later in the week with rain chances going back up on Thursday and Friday.
