LIVE RADAR: Tornado Watch in effect til 9 p.m. for parts of North Texas

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a level 2 risk for severe storms today

A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of North Texas until 9 p.m. Friday. A Flood Watch in effect until 10 p.m. for northwestern counties in DFW.

North Central counties included in the Tornado Watch are: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Rockwall, and Tarrant counties.

Numerous showers and storms are expected today with the threat of heavy rainfall, flooding and severe storms.

Any severe storm that develops will be capable of producing hail, damaging wind and even a tornado or two.

The timing for severe storms will this afternoon through the evening. Approximately 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
