A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of North Texas until 9 p.m. Friday. A Flood Watch in effect until 10 p.m. for northwestern counties in DFW.
The Tornado Watch has expired for much of North Texas but a handful of counties still remain under the watch. Those counties still in the Tornado Watch include: Kaufman, Ellis, Hill, Navarro, Freestone, and Limestone counties.
Numerous showers and storms are expected today with the threat of heavy rainfall, flooding and severe storms.

Any severe storm that develops will be capable of producing hail, damaging wind and even a tornado or two.
The timing for severe storms will this afternoon through the evening. Approximately 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
