A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of North Texas until 9 p.m. Friday.
North Central counties included in the Tornado Watch are: Bell, Bosque, Collin, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Freestone, Grayson, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise counties.
Numerous showers and storms are expected today with the threat for heavy rainfall, flooding and severe storms.

Any severe storm that develops will be capable of producing hail, damaging wind and even a tornado or two.
