Four additional cases of measles have been confirmed in North Texas as the outbreak in West Texas continues to spread.

Another dozen measles cases were diagnosed in Texas over the weekend, bringing the state’s total to 158, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The hearing comes after more measles cases were added in Texas over the weekend. NBC 5’s Larry Collins has the details.

Adults can suffer severe infection if they get the measles prompting concerns about whether some should get a booster, or revaccinated. Doctors also add, you may consider a booster if you have international travel plans. NBC 5 health reporter Bianca Castro took questions to Parkland Health’s Dr. Donna Persaud.
