The holidays will be brighter for thousands of North Texas families thanks to the ongoing support of the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

The Salvation Army of North Texas is rushing to making sure every Angel Tree client receives their gifts in time. One week until Christmas, NBC 5’s Katy Blakey reports NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 spent the day making sure that happens.

Mounds of Angel Tree gifts filled tables and boxes, waiting for volunteers to fold and sort.

There is a mountain of new toys, games and clothes at the Salvation Army warehouse that will go to Angel Tree recipients soon. But first, an army of volunteers is sorting through it all to get ready.
