New Zealand’s Parliament was briefly suspended Thursday after Maori members staged a traditional ceremonial dance to protest legislation that would reinterpret a treaty between the British and indigenous Maori.

Lawmakers in Austin are looking to better protect child sex abuse victims by focusing on non-disclosure agreements in settlements. Victims told lawmakers that NDAs were created to protect businesses and not to cover up crimes against children.
