Two black women-owned small businesses in Farmers Branch say they’ve been harassed for months by the same man, and it’s prompted one of them to close up shop entirely and seek safety elsewhere.

Farmers Branch police have arrested three men said to be a part of a Venezuelan gang who allegedly abducted a man and two juveniles before executing him in Dallas two months ago.

Dozens of people gathered in a gas station on I-35 trying to seek shelter from severe weather. NBC 5’s Maria Guerrero is on the scene in Valley View to speak with those who survived the tornado in a gas station. 

We saw people seeking shelter from the storm as it approached drivers on I-35. They sought refuge inside a truck stop convenience store, but it turned into a frightening experience as the building was directly hit. NBC 5’s Alicia Barrera interviewed survivors inside when the building collapsed.

As danger approached Valley View’s Shell gas station in the dark, drivers ditched their cars and ran inside the convenience store with restaurants just before it took a direct hit.
