Police are investigating a crash in Dallas this morning where a pedestrian was struck by a car on Highway 75.

Police are investigating a crash in Dallas where a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Highway 75 on Wednesday morning, officials say.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Officials said when sheriff's deputies arrived, they found that a woman had been hit by multiple vehicles. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved in the crash stopped and is cooperating with the investigation, officials said.

All lanes were blocked off heading southbound on U.S. 75 at Royal Lane as police investigated the scene.

The roadway was reopened by noon.
