Pedestrian killed crossing I-30 in possible multi-vehicle hit-and-run

Police said no vehicles stopped after a man was struck, possibly multiple times, while trying to cross the highway on foot

A man attempted to cross I-30 in Fort Worth Friday morning. Police suspect he was hit several times.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 30 near Brentwood Stair Road in Fort Worth are open after a pedestrian fatally hit Friday morning.

Fort Worth Police were called to the crash at about 6:30 a.m. and said a man was believed to have possibly been hit by multiple vehicles while attempting to cross the freeway on foot.

No vehicles stopped after the collisions, Fort Worth Police said.

MedStar Ambulance confirmed the man died on the scene. The man's identity will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner after his family has been notified of his death.

After being closed for about three hours Friday, the highway reopened at about 11 a.m.
