Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo debuted his vocal chops in a promotional version of Faith Hill's "This Kiss" last month--along with a slew of other North Texas athletes and personalities--to poor reviews. But that didn't stop him, on Friday night at the House of Blues, from mixing it up with Steel Panther, a Los Angeles-based parody/glam-rock band, for a cover version of Guns 'N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine."
Admittedly, the rendition (or at least Romo's contribution to the rendition) isn't great; but it lacks the spine-tingling awkwardness of "This Kiss: The North Texas Edition." And aside from that, if you like spandex pants and big hair, oh, this is the video for you:
So say what you will about Romo's musical ability, or lack thereof; we still like this better than Sheryl Crow's 1999 version, which may be found next to the word 'bastardization' in the dictionary.
