Rangers Get 3 on Most Popular Jersey List

Three Texas Rangers made the list of the most popular jerseys for the 2010 season, though only two are still on the roster.

Coming in at No.5 was ace pitcher Cliff Lee, who undoubtedly sold a lot of jerseys in Philadelphia, Seattle and Texas since he played for all three teams during the season.

At No. 7 was AL MVP Josh Hamilton while 2B Ian Kinsler made the list at No. 17.

Topping the list is, not surprisingly, Derek Jeter.  Former Rangers Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira, both now with the Yankees, also made the list.

The MLB also said sales of officially-licensed merchandise reached an all-time high in 2010, with revenues up 6 percent over the previous year.

While the Texas Rangers aren't yet in the Top 10 for licensing, I like to think all the claw and antler T-shirts made for the 2010 post-season helped MLB set that all-time record.
