After the Dallas Cowboys were down by 18 in Monday night’s loss to the New York Giants, defensive end Igor Olshansky made a couple of impressive tackles to stifle runs near the line of scrimmage. This was good. Afterward, however, he got up, and danced little dances that seemed to say, “Who cares if we’re being whipped and about to go to 1-5 on the season--I made a tackle!”
The announcers lit Olshansky up after the fact, and for good reason. At this point in the game, not even receivers were celebrating touchdown catches. But Olshansky doesn’t care about that--apparently, down three scores or not, he’s going to celebrate when he makes a tackle.
"I really don't care what the announcers said about me," Olshansky said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I play this game for my family and for myself, not for anybody else's opinion or what they think about me. I have a lot of pride in what I do. If you're going to run the ball my way, I'm going to make the play, and I'm going to let you know it. Period."
