Jerry Jones: โ€œLarry Allen Represents the Best of the Very Bestโ€

Allen was named a 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee over the weekend

As you may have heard, Cowboys great Larry Allen is Canton-bound.

A member of the NFLโ€™s All-Decade Team for both the 1990s and 2000s, a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor,  an 11-time Pro Bowler, seven-time All-Pro selection and Super Bowl XXX champion, Allen was seemingly a no-brainer for induction in his first year of eligibility.

To be sure, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones wasnโ€™t at all surprised when the vote came in.

โ€œLarry is one of the greatest players in Cowboys history, and arguably the very best guard to ever play the game,โ€ Jones said in a statement, per the Dallas Morning News. โ€œHe was obviously a special talent, but the fierceness and tenacity that he brought to the field separated him from the rest of the pack. I have never been more proud of anyone who has reached the Pro Football Hall Fame. Larry Allen represents the best of the very best.โ€
