History-making North Texas golfer shares love of sport through inclusion
One of the ways to spread the game of golf is through instruction. Teaching the game properly is how you grow the sport. It wasn’t until 1961 the PGA of America lifted its whites-only rule which banned Black golfers from playing in professional tournaments but African Americans have always enjoyed the game. Now, through more inclusion, Black golfers are also teaching at the highest levels in the PGA of America. Sports Director Newy Scruggs introduces one of those legendary coaches, Richard Brown III.
