Former Cowboys’ defensive end Igor Olshansky did what a lot of former Cowboys do on Tuesday, signing with the Miami Dolphins.
Over his two seasons in Dallas, Olshansky recorded 78 tackles, three for a loss, and a sack and a half, while serving mostly as a run-stopper. He was released by the team just before this season began.
At 0-and-2, the Dolphins are hoping that Olshansky and cornerback Nate Jones, who also signed with the team on Tuesday, will bring some help to a struggling defensive unit. Miami currently ranks 22nd in the NFL in terms of run defense, allowing 122 yards per game in their first two games.
