Cowboys Sign Center, Waive Linebacker

The Cowboys signed center Duke Preston on Thursday. The four-year veteran was cut by the Packers on Tuesday and previously played in 20 games with the Buffalo Bills.

Preston's signing could provide some depth at center, guard or tackle, positions he has played in the past.

Nick Eatman from TrueBlueFanClub.com reports the team released linebacker Justin Rogers to make room for Preston on the roster. Rogers didn’t play last week and missed practice this week with tendinitis in his knee.

The new concern is at the outside linebacker position since Brandon Williams is expected to go to injured reserve with a torn ACL he suffered last week.
