Jasmine Crockett, Jane Hamilton Headed to Democratic Runoff for EBJ's District 30 House Seat

Primary runoffs will be May 24; the last day to register to vote is April 25

Nine Democrats and six Republicans are fighting in Tuesday’s primary to fill the vacancy in Dist. 30 left by retiring U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson.

The pool of candidates hoping to fill the vacancy in Dist. 30 left by retiring U.S. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has been trimmed from 15 to four.

Nine Democrats and six Republicans ran in Tuesday's primary, leading to expected runoffs in both races.

State Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Dallas), who was endorsed by Johnson, will face Jane Hope Hamilton in the upcoming Democratic runoff while James Harris and James Rogers will be in the Republican runoff.

The runoff for the party nomination for the November election is May 24.

Nov. 4 - Last day of early voting
Nov. 8 - Election Day and the last day to receive a ballot by mail that is not postmarked (7 p.m.).
Nov. 9 (5 p.m.) - Last day to receive a ballot by mail that was postmarked by 7 p.m. on Nov. 8
