Authorities in Utah are considering criminal charges against a group of men, identified as Boy Scout Leaders, who disturbed a rock formation in a state park that officials say is 170 million years old, NBC News reported. But the men, who now say they are getting death threats, claim they had made the area safer by removing the boulder. The act was captured on video by Dave Hall, a scout most his life, and uploaded to Facebook. "The first thing that we say after the rock is on the ground is, a little kid right here could have been killed by this rock falling on them," Hall told NBC News. "It's all about saving lives." A Boy Scouts spokesman slammed the leaders for what he called "reprehensible behavior," which runs contrary to the organization's "leave no trace" principle for the great outdoors.
