A Tulsa, Oklahoma, police officer has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of his daughter's boyfriend, NBC News reported. The 24-year police veteran, Shannon Kepler was charged on Monday with the Aug. 5 killing of Jeremy Lake, 19, according to NBC affiliate KJRH. He was also charged with one count of shooting with intent to kill because according to prosecutors, Kepler shot at his daughter, Lisa Kepler, 18 during the alleged confrontation. The Tulsa County District Attorney pledged Monday that Shannon Kepler won't receive any special treatment just because he's a police officer.
