Tigers, Lemurs and Bears Cool Off With Ice Treats in Rome
As temperatures soared to nearly 104 degrees in Rome, Italy, this week, animals at the city’s zoo were fed ice blocks filled with food to help them keep them cool. The tigers, bears, lemurs, chimpanzees and macaques at the Bioparco di Roma zoo enjoyed the icy treats which zookeepers say help them to release heat from their bodies in the warm weather.
