Shaโ€™Carri Richardson made her return to the track for the first time since her 30-day suspension at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday afternoon.

Richardson finished ninth in the womenโ€™s 100m, crossing the finish line in 11.14 seconds, behind the trio of Jamaican sprinters who swept the Olympic podium in Tokyo.

It was a repeat of the Tokyo Olympics in Eugene as two-time 100m Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah, Tokyo silver medalist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Tokyo bronze medalist Shericka Jackson once again finished first, second and third respectively in the race.

Thompson-Herah crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 10.54 seconds. Fraser-Pryce, who held the second-fastest time in the event prior to Tokyo, crossed the finish line in 10.73 seconds and Jackson came in behind her with a time of 10.76 seconds.

Richardson entered Saturdayโ€™s race with plenty of hype. She announced her return with a viral TikTok video, lip-singing to a clip of Nicki Minaj and showing the world her makeover for the race. After the race Richardson had a message for her doubters.

"Count me out if you want to. Talk all the s*** you want. Cause I'm here to stay. I'm not done," Richardson said.

The 21-year-old sprinter will compete in the 200m alongside Allyson Felix, Gabby Thomas and Jenna Prandini at 5:45 p.m. ET.
