Cruz is expected a join a solid class of rookies heading into the Nationals system after Washington selected 20 prospects in the MLB draft. On the first day of the draft, general manager Mike Rizzo and company took some names you may have heard of, including highly-touted shortstop Brady House at No. 11 and Dusty Baker's son Darren. The second day, the Nationals added seven more pitchers to their 10 overall.
Where Cruz fits in the Nats' future plans remains to be seen, but for a young prospect fulfilling his ultimate dream, these moments are everything.
