Trump Pardons Scooter Libby

President Trump pardoned I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, who was convicted of lying to the FBI and obstruction of justice in 2007. Libby was the focus of a four year investigation into the leaking of CIA agent Valerie Plame’s name to reporters. Former FBI Director James Comey, who was then deputy attorney general, had appointed the special prosecutor in the leak case.
