The Las Vegas-based Heart Attack Grill appears to be living up to its ill-fated name.
John Alleman, the unofficial spokesman for the hospital-themed fast food chain, suffered a heart attack last week and was taken off life support Monday, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
Alleman was 52.
Restaurant owner βDoctor Jonβ Basso told the Sun that Alleman was a regular fixture at the eatery, famous for its high-calorie menu that boasts a record-breaking 9,982-calorie Quadruple Bypass Burger.
According to Basso, Alleman would stand outside the restaurant doors for hours, talking with customers and coaxing others to come in.
βHe never missed a day, even on Christmas,β Basso told the Sun. βHe lived, ate and breathed the Heart Attack Grill.β
Alleman is the second unofficial Heart Attack Grill spokesman to die in as many years, Gawker reported.
