ISIS supporters in Gaza have promised to unseat Hamas, according to a video statement issued by ISIS channels in Syria. In the video, a masked militant addressed the "tyrants of Hamas" and criticized the organization which rules the Palestinian territory for not following a strict enough interpretation of Islamic law, Reuters reported. ISIS does not have formal ties to Gaza militants, but signs of support have been growing for months. A jihadist group, "Supporters of the Islamic State in Bayt al-Maqdis," attacked Hamas' military wing last month. Hamas has refused to publicly acknowledge ISIS supporters in Gaza.
