A “drunk” squirrel caused hundreds of dollars of damage at a private members’ club located in England, BBC reported.
The secretary of the Honeybourne Railway Club told BBC that he originally thought that someone had broken into the building, located near Evesham in Worcestershire.
He was mostly right -- except the invader was not a man but a squirrel that was “staggering around” after coming out from behind a box of chips, according to BBC.
"There were bottles scattered around, money scattered around, and he had obviously run across the bar's pumps and managed to turn on the Caffrey's [Irish Ale] tap,” Sam Boulter said. "He must have flung himself on the handle and drank some as he was staggering around all over the place and moving a bit slowly.”
Boutler said he lost £300, or about $465, in the incident. He was able to grab the rowdy rodent in a waste bin and released it out of a window.
"I've never seen a drunk squirrel before,” Boutler said.
