Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos are being recalled because they could contain ingredients not listed on the labels, including milk, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
Frito-Lay, which manufactures Doritos, announced Wednesday that some bags of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos tortilla chips were accidentally filled with Nacho Cheese Doritos.
The Nacho Cheese Doritos contain milk, yellow and red dyes, artificial flavor, tomato powder, lactic acid, citric acid and red and green bell pepper powder, all of which can cause allergic reactions.
According to Frito-Lay, the recalled products were distributed in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
The packages have a "guaranteed fresh" date of Aug. 9. A manufacturing code of 2711 152 05 OR 2712 152 05 appears on the front of the package and a UPC code of 28400-42119 is printed on the back.
No illnesses have been reported, Frito-Lay said in a statement.
Customers can return affected packages for a full refund or call Frito-Lay consumer relations at 1-800-452-4477 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT.
